Turkey Trot 5K - Thanksgiving Day Morning
Register Online for the Turkey Trot
Join YMCA of the Rockies on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 24th for the annual 5K Turkey Trot! Get out and get active before celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday! Walkers and strollers are welcome to participate in the race. Dogs are also welcome, as long as they remain on a leash. Check-in at the Sweet Memorial Building beginning at 8am and the race will begin shortly after at 9am. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st place female, 1st place male, and the 1st place person 16 and under. Hang out after the race for a fun drawing to win great prizes! The YMCA of the Rockies Turkey Trot is free and open to the public, free-will donations will be accepted to support the camper scholarship program. Celebrations in the Town of Estes Park
The day after Thanksgiving, join the town of Estes Park kick-off the holiday season at the Catch the Glow Holiday Parade and Celebration! During this special annual event, the holiday season lights up with cheer! During the day, Spend the afternoon visiting Santa and strolling around town. Once the sun sets, grab your warm coat and hot chocolate to head to downtown Estes Park, where at 5:30 p.m., the Catch the Glow Parade will come rolling down Elkhorn Avenue featuring thousands of tiny twinkling lights, storybook figures, nutcrackers, snowmen, marching bands, entertainers, wildlife characters and Santa Claus himself!
