ARTS AT ALTITUDE MUSIC FEST FEATURING THE CLEVELAND POPS ORCHESTRA

This summer, YMCA of the Rockies will host the inaugural Arts at Altitude Music Festival in partnership with the renowned Cleveland Pops Orchestra. From August 10-17, the Cleveland Pops will take over Estes Park Center with artist meet-and-greets, instrument showcases, music education sessions, open mic nights and solo pop-ups. The residency will be punctuated by two signature performances – a jazz evening on August 10 and a Broadway program on August 17.

Artist in Residence: Carly Johnson and Robert Brown

A tradition since 1943, the Artist in Residence Program at YMCA of the Rockies has brought creators of a variety of mediums to Estes Park Center. Carly Johnson and Robert Brown, a jazz vocalist/singer-songwriter and a mixed media artist, respectively, will take up residence at the YMCA from June 2-22.

Artist in Residence: National Repertory Orchestra Alumni String Quartet

A tradition since 1943, the Artist in Residence Program at YMCA of the Rockies has brought creators of a variety of mediums to Estes Park Center. The National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) provides life-changing experiences to aspiring professional musicians, preparing them to shape the future of classical music. This summer we will welcome the NRO Alumni String Quartet to YMCA of the Rockies.

Artist in Residence: Stephanie Bayliff

A tradition since 1943, the Artist in Residence Program at YMCA of the Rockies has brought creators of a variety of mediums to Estes Park Center. Stephanie Bayliff, a visual artist from Mulvane, Kansas, creates vibrant works across various mediums, drawing inspiration from everyday life and nature. She actively promotes arts and culture in her community while exploring her Native American heritage through her art.

Artist in Residence: Laura Barrow

A tradition since 1943, the Artist in Residence Program at YMCA of the Rockies has brought creators of a variety of mediums to Estes Park Center. Laura’s artistic journey began with abstract painting at Duke University before she turned her focus to interpreting nature directly through paint, particularly landscapes.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

With Estes Park Center perfectly situated as a basecamp for Rocky Mountain National Park — and Snow Mountain Ranch on the doorstep of one of the top ski resorts in North America — there are plenty of seasonal attractions for you to explore throughout the year.

EVENTS FAQS

  • We carefully consider all special lodging requests, but we are unable to guarantee specific cabins or lodge rooms, the exact location of your accommodations, or fireplace type (wood vs. gas).

  • Cell service varies. At Estes Park Center AT&T/ T-Mobile have strong service. At Snow Mountain Ranch, Verizon has the best service. There is little-to-no cell service in Rocky Mountain National Park.

  • A group is considered to be someone who is interested in booking hotel-style lodging and private meeting space or a large retreat cabin. There are 6- and 8- bedroom cabins available. Estes Park Center also offers the historic Ranch House cabin and 17-bedroom Pattie Hyde Barclay cabin. To reserve smaller cabins, please call our Central Reservations Department at 888-613-9622.

  • If you are staying in lodge rooms, you are required to be on a meal plan. However, if you are staying in a retreat cabin, you are not required to be on a meal plan.

    Our meal plan consists of at least 2 meals per day in our cafeteria-style dining hall. All members of your group will need to be on the same meal plan.
