About the Pool
The Dorsey Swimming Pool at YMCA of the Rockies is a year-round indoor pool offering space for lap swimming, open swim, and family recreation. It’s a great spot to stay active or relax after a day exploring Estes Park. Large windows provide natural light and mountain views, and the pool is open to both guests and members.
Towels, flotation devices, and toys are provided.
Capacity may be restricted due to staffing or facility restrictions. When lightning is in the area, pool will close.
Children ages 1–7 need an adult in the water within arm’s reach.
Children ages 8–12 need to be accompanied by an adult in the building.

Welcome to our retail makerspace. Drop-in crafts and classes are available every day; prices and availability vary. Some crafts have age restrictions.
Glazed ceramics and glass fusion must be finished by 3 pm to be ready for pickup the next day.
No new projects after 4:30 pm.

Located up the slope between the Administration Building and Hyde Chapel, this two-story library offers welcoming spaces for all ages. The lower level features the Children’s and Young Adult section, while the upper level houses the Adult Library, with fireplaces on both floors and a balcony with swings and sweeping mountain views.

Guests may check out books, DVDs, and puzzles; enjoy newspapers and magazines; use games in-house; access a guest computer for printing; and enjoy complimentary coffee and tea.
Center for Well-Being

The Center for Well-Being, completed in 2025, is a dedicated space for rest, rejuvenation, and holistic wellness of the spirit, mind, and body.
The center features three massage rooms and a yoga studio that hosts up to 18 participants, with classes offered throughout the summer. When classes are not in session, guests and members are welcome to use the studio during open hours for personal practice.
Massage services are provided through Homegrown Yoga.

The Yoga Deck is located adjacent to the Outdoor Archery Range, behind the Boone Family Mountain Center. A privacy fence allows an immersive experience in the mountain forest.
Longhouse Gym

The Longhouse Gym features two indoor basketball and volleyball courts, providing space for pick-up games, group activities, and open recreation. Guests and members are welcome to enjoy a friendly match or shoot around with family and friends. It’s a versatile indoor facility perfect for staying active year-round.
Bob Ecker Roller Rink

Fire Rings
Fire pits and campfires are temporarily unavailable at both locations due to an active fire ban. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to the mountains.

Enjoy the cool Colorado nights around a warm campfire at Estes Park Center.
The campfire reservation fee is $30 for a two-hour reservation, which includes two bundles of firewood. You must have a lodging reservation at YMCA of the Rockies to book a fire ring.
Campfires can accommodate from 4–200 people and can be booked up to 90 days in advance.
Campfires are subject to current fire bans or weather conditions.

Horseback Riding
Explore the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains while horseback riding at Estes Park Center.
Jackson Stables offers one-hour rides, all-day rides, pony rides, hayrides, and more. Rides weave through Rocky Mountain National Park and YMCA of the Rockies property.
All horseback trail rides and hayrides are booked through Jackson Stables.
Typical season runs March–October.
