Nature Workshop: Rocky Mountain Wildflowers

Our Nature Workshops cater to adult learners, providing an engaging and hands-on approach to exploring the wonders of the natural world in the beautiful setting of the Rocky Mountains.

Rocky Mountain Wildflowers with Virginia Kent
Locate and learn about wildflowers found in Rocky Mountain National Park. Participants will learn how to find and identify flowers in different life zones from montane to alpine, using flower identifiers and wildflower books. Come and share in the joy of wildflower discovery with the other class participants.

Workshop Times:
Saturday, June 21: 12pm-4pm
Sunday, June 22: 8am-4pm
Monday, June 23: 8am-4pm

Workshop registration is $195. Registration includes small group instruction and transportation (if applicable). Lodging and meals are not included. After registration you will receive an email two weeks prior to the workshop with a syllabus and supplies/items needed.

About the Instructor:
Virginia Kent’s love of wildflowers began in her childhood, hunting flowers in New England with her father. On vacations to the YMCA with her own children, Ginny went for hikes that focused on wildflowers. She currently is a hike master who shares her wildflower passion and knowledge with YMCA guests along the trail as she guides hikes through the summer months. She has spent many summers studying the timing and location of favorite blooming annuals and perennials in various habitats from the montane up to the alpine tundra in Rocky Mountain National Park. Ginny is excited to share her lifelong love of wildflowers with her class participants during her wildflower workshop.
