Winter Trails Day at Snow Mountain Ranch

Snow Mountain Ranch's Nordic Center has more than 100 kilometers of trails accommodating everyone from the first-time cross-country skier or snowshoer to the elite racer.  Beginners can ski on short loops around the Nordic Center while the experienced racer can train on longer trails with steeper climbs. Beyond cross country skiing, families and groups can enjoy ice skating, sledding & tubing, snowshoeing and sleigh rides.

The Nordic Center's full-service ski shop is where you will find great deals on lessons and rental packages. We also have the latest cross-country ski gear and apparel for sale. To re-energize, visit the Skinny Ski Cafe and enjoy a light snack or warm up with a bowl of soup and a sandwich. 

More than 20,000 skiers per year visit our property covering 5,200 acres of mountain meadows at an altitude of 9,000 feet.  Your canine companion can even join you on some of the trails, making sure that both you and your pup are getting a good workout.

Season Pass Options:
YMCA of the Rockies Family Membership --$200-1 year, $500-3 year (Includes usage of ski and snowshoe trails, ice rink, tubing hill, swimming pool and Kiva Rec Center, as well as access to our Estes Park Center.)
Individual Joint Pass with Devil's Thumb Ranch --- $260 (Includes usage of ski and snowshoe trails for one person only.) *NOTE Family Membership does NOT combine with Joint Pass

Snowshoeing
Guided Hikes - Individual --- $15 Group (15 or less) --- $180 (reservation required)
Guided hikes are for all levels. Please bring snack and water. Dress in layers. Hiking/waterproof boots recommended. Call the Program Department at (970) 887-2152 x4135 to schedule.

Ice Rink
Complimentary Admission for YMCA of the Rockies members and overnight guests
Skate Rental --- free for members and overnight guests. Rental included in day pass purchase for non-members and non-overnight guests (Day Pass --- $15).

Tubing & Sledding Hill

Children's Programs
Friday and Sunday, through the Grand Nordic Ski Club
January 18 - February 24, 2013

The YMCA/SMR Kids Nordic Ski Program offers ski instruction for beginners and more accomplished skiers ages 5-15, skiing games, winter nature activities, and ends with a Nordic Ski Festival. The program operates on Friday and Sunday from 1:00-2:30 pm. Equipment and trail pass are provided for the duration of the lesson. Waxing Clinics
Free Wax Clinic Saturday mornings 9:30 to 10:30am, from Dec. 1, 2012 through  March 30, 2013. Learn basic waxing techniques and ski maintenance to increase your enjoyment of cross country skiing. Rotating subjects each week. Call the Nordic Center at 888-573-9622 for schedule.
