Dogsledding at Snow Mountain Ranch

Do you dream of yelling “Mush!” to your team of huskies in the blinding snow while on the trail of the Iditarod? Live out a (scaled-down) version of your dream by dog sledding at Snow Mountain Ranch this winter!

When: Thursday mornings and Saturday mornings.

Where: Sign up in advance at the Program Building or via phone.  Guests can sign up  by calling 970-887-2152, ext. 4135.  If you call, you must pay over the phone via credit card to hold your spot.  For Thursday rides, guests can sign up starting the Wednesday of the week beforehand.  For Saturday rides, guests can sign up the Friday of the week beforehand.

Cost: $15 per person or $25 for two people on the sled

The ride is roughly 2 miles long, starting from the Library. Our guide, Steve Peterson, will offer a 45 minute presentation on dog sledding before he begins rides.
