FAQS
- Are the lodging and grounds accessible? We offer many accessibility features in our lodging and programs. Please call our reservation line to discuss specific needs and how we can best meet them. Contact: 888-613-9622
- What activities can we reserve?
Archery, Axe Throwing, Canoeing, Climbing Sessions, Dog Sledding, Guided Hikes, Horseback Riding, Paddleboarding, and Ski Lessons are the most common activities that need advanced registration. Rentals such as fishing equipment, bikes, and skis do not require advanced registration, but are first come first serve. For groups who may need additional coordination, you will be assigned a conference coordinator who can discuss your needs and help you through the process.
- Do you have any programs for special needs kids? Our Day Camp has an Inclusion Program where campers with special needs are involved in the regular camp programming as much as possible. One-on-one counselors, trained for special needs campers, are available if needed. Guests can indicate special needs requirements when they register.
- How do guests purchase meals at Estes Park Center or Snow Mountain Ranch? Pay-as-you-go options are available at all on-site dining locations.

- Do wild animals come into the campsites and around the cabins and lodges? Yes, wild animals like elk, deer, and moose are often seen around campsites, lodges, cabins, and yurts at YMCA of the Rockies, creating a unique mountain experience. For safety, guests should keep a respectful distance, secure food and trash, and never approach or feed the wildlife.

A small but mighty team of housekeepers is responsible for cleaning 500 lodge rooms and more than 200 cabins on any given day. In order to provide guests with the best experience, it can take time to clean accommodations.
Guests are welcome to stop by the front desk at any time after 7:00 AM on their day of arrival. Access to the guest’s room or cabin is given once the accommodation has been cleaned. We do our best to have all accommodations ready no later than 6:00 PM. If an accommodation is not yet ready, guests are encouraged to take advantage of the YMCA’s complimentary facilities and activities. For guests arriving later, our front-desk staff are available 24 hours a day. Check-out is 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
