More Little Boots on the Trail: YMCA Expands Early Childhood Program at Estes Park Center
We are thrilled to announce: starting winter 2026, our Beverly K. Booe Early Childhood Education Program is growing.
We're adding a brand-new toddler room at the Bennett building, making room for more local families with littles ages 12 months to 2 years. It's more than added space—it's a deeper commitment to supporting the Estes Valley community with flexible, affordable care in a setting that's rooted in the natural world.
Because yes, toddlers can hike too.
This expansion means more little ones will get to thrive in our nature-based, child-led curriculum—where songs, scribbles, and pine cones are part of the daily rhythm. Here, milestones happen among the trees. Creativity blooms through outdoor exploration. And every discovery is more exciting than the last.
"We believe nature is one of the best teachers," says Susan Taylor, Program Director at Estes Park Center. "Being in a forested environment gives children a safe, joyful space to grow—physically, emotionally, and socially."
Enrollment Options That Work for Real Life
Local Estes Valley families can choose from Monday–Wednesday, Thursday–Friday, or full-week care (Monday–Friday), all running from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at $65 per day. We know every family is different—so we designed our options with flexibility in mind.
This program runs year-round for locals and offers limited summer access for YMCA guests. Scholarships are available.
