March 2025

Gaylord Reservoir has been one of Snow Mountain Ranch's most beloved natural features — a place to fish, paddle, and simply sit beside the water with the mountains rising up around you. For some guests, though, getting to the water’s edge has never been easy.

That's changing. Thanks to the generosity of lead supporter Bill Marsh of Dallas, Texas, and several other generous families and foundations, fundraising for the Gaylord Reservoir Accessibility Project is now complete.

Construction is underway, adding an ADA-accessible dock, an improved beach, and better access pathways — making the reservoir available to more guests, of more abilities, for the first time. The project is expected to be complete by June 2026.

The Marsh family has been coming to Snow Mountain Ranch for many years, and Bill is excited for more people to be able to access and enjoy recreation on the water through this project.

The Gaylord Reservoir Accessibility Project is part of the Climbing Higher campaign at YMCA of the Rockies, which is funding improvements across all three campuses to expand access, deepen the guest experience, and strengthen the mission for generations to come.
