First Couple Says 'I Do' at the Renovated Chapel at Columbine Point
November 2025
There are places at Snow Mountain Ranch that hold a particular kind of weight. Where the quiet is the right kind of quiet, and the view makes it easy to believe that what you're doing matters. The outdoor chapel at Columbine Point at Snow Mountain Ranch has always been one of those places.
This fall, it welcomed its first couple to say their vows in the newly renovated space — and the moment felt exactly right.
Thanks to donor support through the Climbing Higher campaign, the newly dedicated and remodeled Gisela Velarde Ley Chapel at Columbine Point has been transformed. New benches, shade sails, an enhanced walkway, accessible bathrooms, and improved amenities now make the space as beautiful and functional as the setting it has always occupied. An official dedication ceremony is planned for July 2026.
The chapel has long served as a gathering place for worship, reflection, and connection with nature. Now it will also be a place where people begin their lives together — a reminder that what YMCA of the Rockies builds isn't just infrastructure. It's the setting for the moments people carry with them forever.
