Family Reunion Experts
Nationally, family reunions are increasingly popular. YMCA of the Rockies is America’s leading host of family reunions, and Estes Park Center and Snow Mountain Ranch held nearly 800 reunions in 2007.
Whether families choose lodge rooms and meal plans or one of our family reunion cabins are gorgeous and sleep 40, has 9 bathrooms and plenty of living and dining space. The demand for these cabins is incredible: Some families have requested reservations up until the year 2030!
We started Family Reunion University in 2003 to help group leaders learn the ins and outs of reunion planning. We have clever ideas and sound financial and marketing coursework during FRU.

Easy on the knees!
Baby boomers are putting their downhill skis away and are opting for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in droves. Hip and knee pain and the sheer pain of paying for downhill lift tickets are two reasons why.
Snow Mountain Ranch offers 100 km of groomed Nordic trails, lessons for adults and children and all the cool gear you’ll need.
Cross-country skiing is great for families and friends who want to have fun in the snow but have more of a “together” experience doing so.
Please contact Laurie Van Horn at 970-586-3341, ext. 6012, or the Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center at 970-887-2152 for more information.

Inexpensive family weekends
It’s part of the Mission of the YMCA of the Rockies to provide unifying experiences for families in today’s hectic world. With this in mind, we create seasonal weekend packages where a family of four can spend 2 nights in a lodge room, have 5 buffet meals and choose from endless activities.
At Fall Fest, for example, families enjoy dinner followed by a Friday night campfire and sing-along, as well as other activities. On Saturday, we have dozens of activities ranging from pumpkin carving to nature hikes to a roller-skating costume party.
Weekends are offered in the fall, winter and spring at both Estes Park Center and Snow Mountain Ranch.
We would love to host reporters and their families so that YOU can get a break from the newsroom.
