For Generations to ComeThe Core Development Project construction began in January of 2008 with the demolition or relocation of 26 buildings near the area known as staff circle. The old Buildings and Grounds office has been torn down, as has Fairchild dorm. (The photo to the left shows the Infirmary ready to be relocated near the Hempel Auditorium parking lot.
Construction at the Estes Park Center will cease after Memorial Day, 2008, so that guests can enjoy the summer in the way they always have. There will be some work in what we are calling the “back of house,” which will be accessed by a service road beneath the Longhouse.
