PROGRAMS
A wide variety of “faith-based” programs are offered year around to our guests at Snow Mountain Ranch. You are invited to join in one of our programs or we will work with you to develop a “customized program” to meet a specific need or theme. That’s what we mean by “putting the MORE” in your experience at Snow Mountain Ranch.

Worship Programs are a regular part of our ministry and contact with guests. We offer a variety of "out of the box" worship experiences, including hikes, ski events and more!

Youth Programs are offered either in the context of SMORES events or “customized” Programming options. We also wish to give our visiting groups and opportunity to share their talents or skills or to participate in the Sunday AM Worship Events.

Children Programming is offered year-round. Call to find out more or ask when you check in at the Administration Building.

Holy Communion is made available for our early departing skiers in the Winter and as an early AM starter in the Summer (it is offered throughout the year at the two trims on Sunday AM).  It is open to all persons of all faiths.

Praise & Worship Programs are increasing popular especially among youth groups that visit Snow Mountain Ranch.

Evening Vespers Programs are usually held outdoors with a campfire setting in the Summer and indoors in the winter…sometimes in the Winter the Vespers also becomes similar to a Praise & Worship Service.

S.M.O.R.E.S. - Seeking Meaningful Outdoor & Religious Experiences
We will do it all…or support you in your planning…or provide the sacred place and space…

The Chaplain’s Department at Snow Mountain Ranch is helping to put the “more” into your program planning efforts while on site. “Customized programming,” says Chaplain Rich Poole, “is a great way to put “more” into your next family gathering or reunion at Snow Mountain. Tell us about your group, a theme, a need, a desired experience…and we will guide you into our “smorgasbord of programming” for your entire group or custom create an “experience” for you!

Snow Mountain Ranch - YMCA of the Rockies offers youth groups a unique retreat setting where an exciting mountaintop experience can be held to renew their faith in midst of God’s great outdoors and build a stronger Christian community. It uniquely unites the resources of the Program Department with that of the Chaplain’s Religious Activities arena.

Topics of the SMORES model include: Re-Spark Your Group (Group-Community Building), Feeling Good About Yourself (Self-Esteem Building), Re-Spark Your Leadership (Building Individual Leadership from within the Group), and Re-Spark High Adventures.

DEVOTIONS
Walking around Snow Mt. Ranch is like walking into a new frontier filled with rough places and smooth places, level places and hilly places, places of mountains and places of meadows. It is a place where God speaks loudly to our spirits.
Henry David Thoreau once wrote about such a place, “where your head is more in heaven than your feet are on earth…” As I walk today, God, fill me with your spirit…here on the mountain!

“O God, make your ways known to me, teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth and teach me,
For you are the God of my salvation.”

(Psalm 25:4,5)

A PRAYER

"Like a compass, O God, point me in your path…wherever Your will leads me. Journey with me this day and through the night. Be my companion as you lead me into truth. Amen.“
